前作「grind」のレコーディングが終わり、
リリース前の緊張感はあるがツアーはまだちょっと先…
というぽっかり空いた時期。
達成感に浸るというよりは、次回作に向けて曲を作りたくなっていた。
そんな時、スタジオですぐにできた曲。

「何をやっていたんだ」という歌詞がのって、あっという間に完成した。
頑張っていたつもりでも、
いつも土壇場になってバタバタして取り繕う日々に、
自分自身嫌気がさしていたのかもしれない。
みんなもそういう時、ないですか。


＜　Liner Notes by KETTLES　＞
We felt a sense of tension when releasing the previous album, "Grind", but there was a blank time in between releasing it and the touring dates.
We wanted to make songs for the next album rather than immersing in our sense of accomplishment for the previous album.
Then, we made this song at the studio in a short space of time.

After we had the idea to use the lyrics, "Nani wo yatte itanda", we were able to complete this song in an instant.
Even though we gave it our best, confusions came up at critical moments, and we needed to try to overcome them.
We might have become sick ourselves in those days.
